A NEW YORK NIGHT OUT
Saturday July 8th

At a bar called Sutton Place at 1015 2nd Ave. (between 53rd and 54th) on the third level roof deck a group of "Altonites" got together for a few drinks and lots of memories.

The following was posted by Sean Ford on the message board:

I would just like to take a few moments to thank Paule Levitan for setting up this past Saturday nights event in NYC. It was such a pleasure seeing all those familiar (and some not so familiar) Alton faces. Over the course of the evening I would estimate between 25 - 30 former campers/counselors showed up to say hello. It was great to see and hear how well everyone is doing these days.

At midnight a few of us had a toast to the Old Doc and followed it up with a somewhat slurred (but heartfelt) rendition of "We Hail Thee...". Needless to say there were a few awkward stares from the other patrons at Sutton Place. The BassMaster was taking photographs throughout the evening and I am sure they'll turn up on the message board sooner or later. All in all it was a fantastic evening. Hopefully this will just be the start.

Thanks again to Paule for the drinks and to Gary for Keeping the Spirit alive through this site.

Hope to See You All Soon...
