the camps at Winnepesaukee

Post by Emily Robbins »

After finding your web site on a Google search for Winnepesaukee, I had to read about the trip two of you took back to the Alton site in April 2002. In July 2001 I did the same thing -- went back to the Kehonka site with a friend who had been at camp with me during Kehonka's last few years. There's a Kehonka web site for those of us who want to share memories of the place, just as you're doing about Alton. It's really a shame these beautiful old camps had to go -- I feel like the TV commercial Indian with the tear running down his face -- but I'm glad we have the web sites. Best wishes to you all.

I remember taking a trip to Kehonka one night in '85 ('86?), but all it got me was a visit to The Man.
