Well sometime this Saturday(9/15) Mel Kohn and I hope to be stepping on the hallowed grounds once known as Camp Alton. <IMG SRC="smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)"> It has been almost 17 years since my last visit. I am going with mixed feelings. But something seems to be drawing me to the site...much like "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". Hopefully no one will report 'trespassers on the grounds'.
One disappointment however will be that Bailey's has already closed for the season...oh well no fudge, muffins or frappes. <IMG SRC="frown.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":(">
Of course I will document with photographs as much as I can - so sometime next week (after the holidays) I hope to get the pictures on.
If anyone is in the area meet us on the a-field bleachers...or somewhere in the general vicinity.

When I was up there last Fall I spotted one small building that looks like standard Alton issue in the area near the top of the road where Irving Roberts keeps, um, stuff. Look for it.
