I recognize this house from my recent visit to "Alton". The lot covers most of the lower camp bunkline, from bunk O through L or K; tough to tell where the lot ends.
The house itself rests in the area of N & M, and has a nearly "Altonesque" appearance. If you could spend a million bucks recreating an Alton bunk, it would look something like this.
I will reserve furhter detail to continuing my tale of our family junket, but two important factors on this topic:
1. The property of this lot has remained very genuine to its true condition, and is highly recognizable to those that know these grounds.
2. The present owner of this house was overtly rude when noticing us walking on his property. I will bet that one of the reasons this house is on the market is his frustration with the lack of privacy due to the constant Alton tourists.
In his mind there is no such thing as a "Prize Camper".
I will end with this, if I had the 2.5 million to spare, I would be all over this house. Maybe there is an Alton millionaire out there that is willing to make the move, and create the alumni welcome center.
Hey Chinich and Cadiff, make our day!!
