The Passing Of A Great Altonite

It saddens me to report on the passing last night of a great Altonite.
His life represented all that camp stood for, and though never getting a mention in the log or never winning a flag at the end of a rush, Camp Alton remained in his heart, right down to the end.
Of course, our memories of those summer days will now correspond forever with thoughts of a legend, the courage of a true Macabee.
Did he become a lawyer? No. Did he become a doctor? No. Did he become a professional of anything? No.
Then who was this icon you ask. Why should we mourn him you ask. I say because he was heavy, he was our brother. He was the wind beneath our wings and he came without taking. My friends, that icon was born in Little Rock, had a child sweetheart. They were always hand in hand. And if you share the great memories of him the way I do, donate just one candy bar from the canteen in his honor. Shalom.
