None can comprehend how much I dreaded the appearance of this subject. The outcome of this election [no, Sid, this is not an event either as enjoyable or relatively frivolous as that which transpired yearly in the Alton Arena, so at this time it is best to keep any "erections" to ourselves] will determine not only the course of civilization, but whether civilization will endure the forces out to destroy it.

So, even if it were not now Erev Yom Tov, I doubt I would have the ability or time to fully communicate the depth of my angst these days. But in the interim let me wish everyone [especially Sid who survived yearly my driving up to {pre}camp] a "Sukkot Sholomechah" and may you and your families be imbued with the holiday's inherent "canopy of peace.
