Jailbreak

Post by Kappy »

I just returned from taking a group of rising High school Seniors to Europe. It was a great time that reminded me of taking CIT's on a long night out. One night we stayed in a hotel high up in the Alps in Austria. There was absolutely nothing to do at night.

Luckily, I remembered the great games of Jailbreak we used to play on the lower camp bunkline in the late 1970's. We played a great game of jailbreak, that many of the kids felt was a highlight of the trip. Once again my experiences at Camp Alton continue to serve me well!

memories of jailbreak circa 1979:
i remember a huge discussion over the "one, two, three, you're my man" rule for capturing another player, somehow just tagging another player wasn't enough, you had to physically grab them and recite that phrase.

getting chased through the woods behind lower camp

someone, i believe doug kobak, had the best hiding spot, under the stairs to the dining hall, i don't think that was out of bounds, it may have been right on the verge, he hid there until evening activity.

wasn't jailbreak outlawed sometime in the early 80's, such a shame
