Wow look at the long hair on everyone in the picture. At the time that picture was taken I was in Airforce basic training, my own hair was a tad shorter. I would have thought my years at Alton would have prepared me for the 8 weeks of camp the Airforce had in mind, boy was I wrong. I was talking with one of my young comrades who was from the hills of Kentucky and when he saw on my dog tags that I was Jewish he stated " I ain't never seen no Jew before, hell you ain't got no horns or tail, can I touch you" The scary part was he was not kidding!!! Being together night and day for 8 weeks we had some long talks about the world.

Wow. Haven't been here in a while. Saw the 1975 almanac today. Bunk A-1 - my last year at camp. Hey to Jon Goldstein, Barry Silverstein, Neil, Joel Orris, etc. What's up with all the goofy hats? Was that cool in 1975?

I know we have every Almanac (1970-1975) in a box at my parent's house. Have not been able to find it because the place is full of junk. Will look again on my next trip home.
