Well Mel and I got home this morning a little after 12:30am. The 6 3/4 hour drive up and back to Framingham from NY was uneventful...but as usual the dinner was the big event! The usual notables and scrotables were there...and I must say Phineas is looking quite spry for 93 years young...it is amazing what all those years breathing that fresh pine air in NH can do for you. Too bad most of those pines are now furniture, paneling or firewood in someone's home!!!
It was good to see everyone again...on a personal note I want to say it was great to see Gary Markoff again..it had been almost 30 years...but where the heck was Quack??? Ronnie was conspicuosly missing this year. Paul Harvey was looking good...I guess retirement has been treating him well and I was pleasantly surprised to see JC and Connie Martin again... Sat next to Chuck Goldman at dinner and recounted, although the memories are beginning to blur a bit, about 15 year old basebal back in 1973 with the Old Doc...wow it is amazing how some of the most distant memories come flooding back.
We missed many of you...and we are all wondering why. We hope to do some things a bit differently next year and we hope that we can get more of you to attend...but just look at the pictures (the link is below) and you can see what you missed!!!
Hope everyone has a good summer...only 12 days til camp!!! Oh well just wishful thinking!
Regards,
Gary
