We regret to inform you that Mr. Edgar A. Robinson, former Vice President &
> Treasurer of Exxon Corporation, passed away on Saturday, April 19, in
> Dallas. Ed had been battling lymphoma for some time and was only 69 when
> he passed away.

> Ed joined Standard Oil of New Jersey as a Financial Analyst in 1960
shortly
> after earning his MBA in Finance from Harvard University. He held
> positions of increasing responsibility in the Treasurer's organization in
> New York. From 1966 to 1975, Ed served as Assistant Treasurer, Corporate
> Planning Manager for Esso Europe, and President of Esso Africa in London.
> In 1975, he returned to New York as Deputy Controller and later served as
> Deputy Treasurer of the Corporation. In 1979, he became Senior Vice
> President of EIC and later that year Senior Vice President of Exxon
> Company, USA, in Houston. He returned to New York in 1983 as Vice
> President & Treasurer of Exxon Corporation and relocated to Dallas in the
> same position in 1990. He retired in December 1998.

> Ed is survived by his wife, Ruth, children, Jeffrey Robinson and Laurie
