We need to get the 1 Million + pictures Alex (Pete's wife) has of camp onto the website. There were so many pictures that she posted every week on the dinning room porch. It would be a shame to think that they are in boxes some where collecting dust. Who's with me?

Get me an address or phone number. I'll be glad to call Peter or Alex and ask for photos.

These pics (warts and all) go back 30+ years, are we all ready for them?
Should they be censored first?
Who should have the final word of censorship?
My vote is Reb, I'm sure that he would be more than willing to personally edit in excess of 1,000,000 pics!!!!!!!!
Seriously, I would love to see them.

I am in the process of crafting a letter to Peter to request access to the Alton image library. The cost for duplication and scanning of these images may get quit high. I can't see Peter and Alex letting the originals out of their hands--although stranger things have happened.
Are we willing as a group to contribute to defray the costs? I'll be glad to pony up. Any other takers?
I can't even guess as to the number of images that they have, but I don think it's less than 1 million (per Tony):)
Also, I think GS should be exempt because he is bearing the burden of the site itself.

It is certainly possible that Alex G. would trust you with the original photos. In fact, it seems likely to me.
If not, I will kick in $20 towards cost of duplication, in the hope that others will.

As to 'censoring' - an up or down veto on the appropriateness of each photo is all that is necessary, I think.
No nudity, and it should all be fine.

I don't think we'll have to worry about nudity. But you actually bring up an interesting point. I will coordinate the dupes and/or scanning of the images because I do that for many clients. I am not going to choose what gets scanned and what doesn't. Perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself but what I would like to see happen is that I will scan all of the images granted to me by Peter and Alex. GS can then hone his webmastering skills by deciding what he wants to do with the files.
I think I skirted that issue rather well. <IMG SRC="smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)">

Danny-
How about putting some pics up from your work.
I think we'd all appreciate them...
