Camp Alton Message Board

Roger Stern, former camper (my father was his counselor) and I think Counselor too, passed away this week in Boston. He struggled for many years with diabetes. He attended camp from 1939-1951. His late brother Matt started camp in 1937. He made a significant contribution to the Boston area elderly community by constructing Section Eight housing, located on Centre St. in Coolidge Corner, as well as donating the land for a Senior Center in Brookline. May his memory be for a blessing.
