This and That

Post by marc garber »

Chuck Goldman got it right when he set the camp's golden years at '68-'74. My brother, Alan, and I remember the remarkable creative energies of Ted Merrit (we still see him ambling across the a-field like he owned it), Barry Kraft, Kenny Lato. These guys had a talent for turning a phrase at the Camp Fire. (Lato's Muhammad Ali recounting Frazier-Ali I: "Look at Frazier's face, then look at my face; look at Frazier's face, then you look at my face; who won the fight?")

We also remember with great satisfaction the '73 rush -- no senior flags for the gray team. Never done before; never done again.

D. Shas of Ardmore (is tough) . . . where are you?

So what if we didn't bring over any senior flags in the rush that year. We looked good in our blue bathing suits with white stripes! It was all D. Berks idea!
