Unbelievable...just got back from Wolfeboro!!

Post by Gary Scharoff »

Well, Mel Kohn and I took a very quick trip to NH last weekend. We took close to 100 photos so it has taken some time to go through them...they truly give you a great perspective on what has gone on there. There are only 3 pages of photos on the site now...I hope to get a few more up in the next few days...they are basically being posted in the order we toured the property.

I hope you can enjoy them...but they are a bit hard to take.

It is almost ironic that Big Jeff should pass away at the same time that what could possibly be the last photos of many areas of camp get posted.

G-d works in mysterious ways!

Wow.

The old photos were enjoyable, though. There really was something special about the circle, don't you agree? And I'm glad the Rec. Hall survived, although reconfigured and repurposed.
;-)

I've often mused about writing a short story in which camp closes, much as it did, but the right thing - a state park - comes about in the end. A fantasy, of course, but preferable to the reality.
