<CENTER> Happy New Year </CENTER>

Is there anyone out there???

...things have been too quiet here for a while...too much Winter? Not here in the Northeast!

We still never saw any pictures from the Newton Bowl or the Brooklyn Bowl...does that mean that no one brought a camera?

Anyone have any ideas regarding the clues that have been posted for the Marson/Alton event this Spring???

<A HREF="http://www.campalton.com/spring_2002.ht ... 002.htm</A>

Anyone heading up to Wolfeboro this Winter?

Any new pictures dug out of attics or basements to add?

I know you are all looking here because the number of visits is accurate...since April of 2000 the site has been looked at over 50,000 times...those are numbers any webhost would be proud to publicize - so I do thank you for the continued support!

Hope everyone is well and keep those pictures and comments coming!!!

Gary

Am I here? Existentially speaking, my presence exceeds my absence. As far as I know, anyway- but that is an epistemological issue.

forget the clues........if there is a big event scheduled for the ten year camp closing anniversarry we should know as soon as possible....travel arrangements etc are easier to make when one knows in advance

HAH!

It's cool that you remembered that, Jordy.

Zen & the Art of MM is still a *great* book to read while mountaineering! You don't conquer a mountain - you take each step as it comes.

Sorta like life, dontchano?

Dave-
I have to tell you that I hiked Lafayette-Lincoln 2 summers ago, how about a hiking reunion this summer? Who's in? Fishing will also be included of course.

David,
Who [used to always] tell people "Metaphysically speaking you're not even real"?
The first person to e-mail an accurate response [or post one] wins "something".

Clues Are For Kids

I agree with Stoney. Scavenger hunts and "see if you can guess from the clues" games are fine for 9 year olds, but my wife almost never allows me to leave the home nest and if I knew what weekend it was now, I could spend 4-5 months doing chores and generally sucking up, and I might be allowed to go. PLEASE TELL US.

Forthe record, I spell my name Orris not with 2 s's, and I do not have hot mail. Also, to get things stright, I do not need to suck up to my wife to leave my nest. For people who know my beloved wife, she trusts me implicitedly (cha!!!). Just let me know the details and I will be there!!! Lastly, I can not write as well as the phantom author did . Stoney is right, no clues, give us the meat and potatoes of the real deal!!!!

I don't think the people involved figured on an escalation in animosity here...they just meant to have a little fun...that is FUN!!!!!

So to prevent any further hostilities to break out here I can let you in on a little bit more information....

Best I can tell you is you should know by March what it is and it will actually take place in late May - early June so there will be plenty of time to plan!!!!

If I give you any more information we will have to disavow any knowledge of your existence!!!

Hang in there just a little longer and everyone will know!!

Gary,
With all due respect, a month or so in advance of the event is hardly enough time for many of us. If, like me, your business calendar has several milestone dates (immovable) with events that you bear responsibility for, 60 days is simply inadequate to plan. (sorry for the run on sentence) Coordinating vacations and business coverage takes time because it involves numerous other people.
Regards,

Sid
I agree with the notion of dispensing with the riddles and getting down to heart of the matter.

Unfortunately I will be in Mijas, near Malaga in southern Spain at that time, so I guess I will have to drink your share as well.
What a shame!
Let me know precisely what time and I will raise a glass "in spirit"
