Re: More Importantly
Perhaps those "guys" actually cared more about the young lady than their own [collective] egos and/or appreciate the biblical inujunction gainst "standing by while your brother's blood is being spilt", etc. Possibly they were afraid of the schtick, but I'd rather give humans the benefit of the doubt...

Re: Circass-blue-berry what?
How many of us pie eating contest winners [and runners up?] recall what else was purple not long after that contest! Hope you all are well. Have a good fast a week from Sunday [T'sha B'av]. Uncle Markie p.s. I don't say "easy fast". The value of things too easy last at most fleetingly. A lesson we a...

Re: Thanx Sid
You're right on the "mark". Hardly a day passes without my saying "3 months til camp", "3 weeks til camp", "this week, camp", "would it have been today?". [Though I was under the impression that Sunday starting dates predominated the last two decades.] And, the "game" was "Chuck-a-Luck" where, as a ...

Re: New/Old Message Boards
Dear Anonymous, Let me thank you for galvanizing me into sending a greeting, this Erev Shavuouth, to the entire Alton [extended] family. Your advice is good, and can prevent problems for us who can't help but feel, for obvious reasons, that our interest in that property "runs with the land". Unfortu...

Re: Finding Andy Cadiff
Hello, Tony. My moms lives at 295 Central Park West here in the Big Apple. Rosh Hashanah [last year's, not the most recent] night, walking to visit my aunt, a young [compared to me] man says [words to the effect] "Uncle Markie". Naturally he had to introduce himself as I never recognize you young on...

Big Jeff Hospitalized [again]
Saturday night I tried reaching Jeff from my Mom's [she had a minor operation last Monday, so I'd been preoccupied], but there was no answer. Today I had a message from Jeff that he is back in the hospital. I called him there at 610 -526 - 4064 [and, obviously, got permission to post the number]. He...
