Re: Alton Photos

It is certainly possible that Alex G. would trust you with the original photos. In fact, it seems likely to me.

If not, I will kick in $20 towards cost of duplication, in the hope that others will.

I have the Elvis bio in a nice casebound edition. I've enjoyed reading it very much indeed.

DDD NYC trip

To Rebbe Pitz and anyone else who may care - I currently expect to by in NYC for some silly MicroSquish conference on Thursday Dec. 5. I may hang out in the city on the Friday after as well (Dec 6), if being lazy doesn't eat up all my time for that week. Let me know if anyone is around and wants to ...

Re: Some More Bread For My Brother

Excellent!

Can you say more about the early days of putting it all together?

It started with the BB movie, aye?

Re: Best of Alton Bros.

Off the top of my head, I easily recall - Tommy G Jake G. Danny R. Also recalling Kenny, Jon Kaufman. There was only one Jake but various Elwoods, if you will. On keyboard, usually Joe DeSisto (a lot more hair than Paul Shaeffer...;-) ) But also Tom Kitt? Songs? Mostly the BB tunes from the album. C...

Best of Alton Bros.

Hey. Has Danny or anyone ever sat down and given an outline of history of the Alton Brothers band? I'm sitting here right this second listening to and watching the Best of the Blues Brothers DVD, and it's all washing over me again. That really was one of the best things that ever happened in the ol'...

Re: The "Alton" Experience

Roger - I've run online messages boads for years (and been a reader on them for much longer. Online fora are almost univerally like this, unless a strong moderatorial hand keeps everyone in line. There's no need for that here- the objective is just to have a forum around a common point of interest, ...

Re: The "Alton" Experience

Jordy, I hiked Mt. Lafayette last summer (a mere 5,000+ footer, compared to Washington at 6,288), and my back almost wouldn't go there with me!

But Lonesome Lake hut is muuuuch easier to get to. I'd take the tram. ;-)

Re: The "Alton" Experience

Thank you for your msg. Ken. Very positive! I certainly remember you and many other campers from 1982! Do you recall that it was that summer that we brought our son Colin (now 6'2" and on the high side of 280 lbs...) to CA that summer as an infant of 6 weeks? Cheers!
